So on Friday, I dragged my coworker half across Manhattan (we were walking) to Sephora, once again. Someone was telling me about Anastasia and her contouring kits (that will be another post) and I was intrigued! Plus, they were this limited edition kits at Sephora that have been selling out like crazy…so obviously I wanted one. Even though I have never done contouring in my life. Smart, right?
So I picked up the kit and the woman started talking about the Anastasia products and that she is also popular with in the eyebrow world. Well, being pale and having very light eyebrows, I wanted to know more because I’m always looking for a good pencil or something to bring out my eyebrows. You’ll be surprised how much a face changed when someone has defined eyebrows. It really is amazing. It’s like your whole face structure suddenly changes and becomes more model-esque.
So the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, $18 (I got Auburn color) is a type of paste in 5 shades that you put on with a brush. It doesn’t really smudge, since I lightly washed my face and it was still pretty much on. You would use the very thin brush (I used Anastasia’s Straight Cut Brow Brush #20, $18) and put on just a hint of the paste (which I’m convinced will last you for a long time) and start applying it as if by pencil. Except the precision brush is much thinner than a pencil and you could accurately paint the eyebrows, going by your natural shape and filling in anywhere where there isn’t enough her. Also, (that’s what I did) I made my brows a bit longer because they’re so light at the side of my eyes, it looks like I have half eyebrows ending in the middle of my forehead. Not a pretty sight!
This a very affordable eyebrow solution that you can do at home and be happy with and makes a great gift.
